Blackboard and teaching support

I’m hoping that in the coming year students on Tsars and Commissars will make good use of Blackboard as a resource to support their learning.  I’ve started bulding the site and am aiming to use it as a means for them to:

  • find resources and gain access to material they might otherwise struggle to find, including unpublished material
  • as a point of reference for the module
  • as a space to interact with one another and with the module material

I’m considering having a virtual office hour within Blackboard as well.  This could work quite well for students who cannot make it to my physical office hours, and alos allows for me to deal with common questions in a more efficient manner, by dealing with them in the public arena.
